Let's face it, we have always had a fascination with fascinators, give us girls any chance to wear one, and we are there. As Spring is here, there is bound to be many occasions on which we now have the opportunity to balance one of these amazing concoctions on our heads. Nothing screams Melbourne Cup more than a dead magpie perched on your head.
Do I wear my hair up or down? What works best to secure my amazing fascinator from flying away and becoming stuck in the bushes? Some come with hair combs others with clips but... I've found the best to be the kind that are secured to a headband. This seems to be not only the easiest way to plonk it on your head but, they are expandible so it really doesn't matter if you wear your hair up or down, the band magically expands and just like that, it fits, it's a shame that our dresses don't work like that especially after a gourmet lunch. We are not counting so it doesn't matter how many chardy's you down, you will still be able to put your fascinator back on if it does become dislodged whilst you are demonstrating the Macarena.
